Carabiners aren't included
Worth knowing before you order. Carabiner hooks come as standard with a PlayBase frame, but not with accessories bought on their own.
If you're adding this to an existing frame and you've no spare carabiners, order them at the same time. Ring us and we'll make sure the right ones go in the box.
It uses two attachment points
A swing hangs from two points rather than one, which is how the frame sizes work out:
| Frame | Carabiner points | Swings at once |
|---|---|---|
| Wall | 3 | 1 |
| Medium | 4 | 2 |
| Large | 6 | 3 |
| Extra Large | 8 | 4 |
Single-point accessories like a boxing bag or basketball hoop use one, so you can mix them in alongside.
Why this one
The seat is wide and contoured rather than a flat strip, so it's comfortable for a long session and suits adults as well as children. The anti-slip texture matters more than it sounds once the seat is wet, which in Ireland is often.
The ropes adjust for height, so the same swing works for a four-year-old and a twelve-year-old. Raise it as they grow rather than replacing it.
Grey with black detail — it matches the PlayBase frame rather than shouting against it.
It comes off in minutes. Attach and detach with the carabiners, so you can swap it for something else when interests change, or take it in over winter if you'd rather.
Already have a different playset?
BERG swings aren't limited to the PlayBase — they'll hang from most frames with suitable attachment points. If you've a wooden swing set and you're replacing a worn seat, this is a considerable upgrade on what came with it.
Send us a photo of your frame and we'll tell you whether it'll work.
Worth adding
- Nest swing — big enough for two children to share
- Baby seat — enclosed with a harness, for the youngest
- Wooden trapeze — for the ones who'd rather hang upside down
- Gym rings — adjustable, and they suit adults too
