BERG PlayBase Baby Swing

An enclosed swing seat with a three-point harness and T-bar, so a baby or toddler is held in properly rather than balanced on.

Specification

30kg is the limit that matters. Most children reach it somewhere around eight or nine, and at that point they've long since moved to a standard swing seat anyway.

The harness is the point

A three-point harness and a T-bar across the front. A child who leans, twists or falls asleep stays where they are.

That's the difference between a swing you can use with a nine-month-old and one you can't. An open seat needs a child who can hold themselves upright and grip — which is a good deal later than nine months.

Always supervise. The harness prevents a fall from the seat; it doesn't remove the need for someone to be there.

Carabiners aren't included

Carabiner hooks come as standard with a PlayBase frame, but not with accessories bought on their own.

If you're adding this to an existing frame and you've no spares, order them at the same time. Ring us and we'll make sure the right ones go in the box.

Why this one

Soft but structured. Moulded seat with padding rather than a fabric sling, so a baby sits upright and supported rather than slumping.

Height-adjustable ropes — set it low enough that you're not lifting a baby above your head to get them in.

Weather-resistant. It can live outside. Most families take it off after a couple of years anyway, when the child moves on.

On and off in minutes with the carabiners. Swap it for something else when they outgrow it, and keep it for the next one.

Already have a different playset?
