Returns, Cancellations and Refunds Policy
Trampolines Ireland — TrampolinesIreland.com
Last updated: 2nd August 2026 | Version 1.0
1. About this policy
This policy explains your rights to cancel an order, return goods, and obtain a refund when you buy from TrampolinesIreland.com.
Nothing in this policy limits or replaces your legal rights. Where anything written here conflicts with the consumer protection law that applies to you, the law takes precedence.
Which law applies to you:
| Delivery address | Governing legislation |
|---|---|
| Republic of Ireland | Consumer Rights Act 2022 |
| Northern Ireland | Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 |
The two regimes are broadly equivalent, and the practical process below is the same for both. Where a specific difference matters, it is set out explicitly.
This policy applies to consumer purchases. If you are buying for business, school, club or commercial purposes, see Section 8.
2. Cancelling because you've changed your mind
2.1 Your 14-day cancellation right
You may cancel your order for any reason, without giving a justification, within 14 days of the day you (or someone you nominate) take physical delivery of the goods.
Where an order is delivered in more than one consignment, the 14-day period runs from the day the final item is delivered.
2.2 How to tell us
You must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel, before the 14-day period expires. You can do this by:
- Email: trampolines@esi-ltd.ie
- Completing the model cancellation form in Section 10 and returning it to us
A clear statement in your own words is equally valid — you are not obliged to use the form. Simply refusing delivery, or returning goods without notice, is not sufficient notification.
We will acknowledge your cancellation in writing without delay.
2.3 Returning the goods
Once you have notified us, you have a further 14 days to send the goods back or make them available for collection.
Trampolines and large play equipment must be fully disassembled and repacked into their original boxes before return. This is a condition of return. Our carriers move these items as boxed pallet freight and cannot collect assembled or loose goods.
Please also ensure that:
- All hardware, fixings, tools, netting, pads, anchor kits and accessories are included
- Manuals and warranty documentation are included
- Boxes are securely sealed and, where the original packaging has been opened, adequately reinforced
If you no longer have the original packaging, contact us before returning the item and we will advise on options.
2.4 Cost of returning goods
You are responsible for the cost of returning goods when you cancel because you've changed your mind.
Trampolines, PlayBases, go-karts and similar large items cannot be returned by ordinary post and must travel as palletised freight. We estimate this cost at €75 to per order.
You may either:
- Arrange your own return carriage, in which case you pay your carrier directly; or
- Ask us to arrange collection, in which case we will deduct €75 from your refund.
We will not deduct more than €75 for return carriage, even where our actual costs are higher. We recommend using a tracked or insured service, as you remain responsible for the goods until they reach us.
2.5 Handling and reduction in value
You may handle and inspect the goods as you would in a shop. You may open the packaging, examine the components and check for damage.
However, you are liable for any reduction in the value of the goods caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Where that applies, we will deduct a proportionate amount from your refund and explain the deduction in writing.
Examples of handling that will typically result in a deduction include:
- Goods returned assembled, part-assembled, or not repacked in their original boxes
- Trampolines that have been erected outdoors and exposed to weather — including soiled, stretched or weathered jump mats, safety pads or nets
- Missing, damaged or substituted hardware, fixings, anchors or accessories
- Ground anchors, in-ground frames or bases that have been installed or set into ground
- Components cut, drilled, modified, painted or otherwise altered
- Goods showing use beyond inspection, including scuffing, staining, rust or UV fading
We do not charge restocking fees. Any deduction reflects an actual reduction in the resale value of the goods and nothing more. You will always receive an itemised explanation, and you may dispute it.
2.6 Your refund
Provided the goods are returned in accordance with this policy, we will refund:
- The full price you paid for the goods
Where you selected a premium, expedited, timed or specialist delivery option, we refund the standard delivery cost only — the difference is not refundable.
Timing. We will refund you within 14 days of the day we receive the goods back, or the day you provide evidence that you have returned them, whichever is earlier.
Where we have arranged collection ourselves, we will refund within 14 days of being told you wish to cancel, though we may withhold the refund until the goods are received.
Method. Refunds are issued to the original payment method. We do not charge a fee for issuing a refund.
3. Orders that cannot be cancelled
The 14-day cancellation right does not apply to:
- Made-to-order, bespoke or custom-configured goods — including custom-sized trampolines, non-stock colour or size configurations, bespoke Springfree or BERG builds, and made-to-measure covers or surrounds
- Goods personalised to your specification
- Sealed goods unsuitable for return on health or hygiene grounds, where the seal has been broken after delivery
- Goods that become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery.
Where an item is made-to-order, this is stated clearly on the product page before you purchase.
This section does not affect your rights if goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described. Those rights apply to every product we sell, including bespoke items. See Section 4.
4. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
This section is entirely separate from the cancellation right in Section 2. It applies regardless of how long ago you bought, and you never pay return costs under this section.
4.1 If goods arrive damaged
Freight damage is uncommon but does happen. Please tell us within 48 hours of delivery and include photographs of:
- The outer packaging, before and after opening
- The damaged component itself
- The pallet or consignment label
This deadline exists so that we can claim against our carrier, who imposes short notification windows on us. It does not limit your legal rights — if you tell us later, we will still put things right, though the process may take longer.
Please do not dispose of damaged packaging until we confirm you may.
4.2 Your rights if goods are faulty or not as described
Goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, as described, and match any sample or model shown to you.
If they are not, you are entitled to a remedy:
| Timeframe | Remedy |
|---|---|
| First 30 days | Short-term right to reject — a full refund |
| After 30 days | Repair or replacement. If that fails, is impossible, or causes significant inconvenience: a price reduction or refund |
Your statutory rights are not limited to 12 months. Under Irish law, claims for defective goods may generally be brought for up to six years.
4.3 Costs
Where goods are faulty, damaged in transit, incorrect or not as described, we bear all costs of return, collection, repair, replacement and redelivery. You will never be asked to arrange or pay for carriage under this section.
4.4 Exclusions
This section does not cover damage caused by:
- Failure to install, anchor or maintain the product in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
- Use inconsistent with the manufacturer's stated weight limits or intended use
- Storm, flood or other extreme weather events, where the product was not anchored or dismantled as instructed
- Accidental damage, vandalism, or normal wear to consumable parts such as jump mats, springs and safety pads over time
- Unauthorised modification or repair
5. Manufacturer warranties
BERG and Springfree products carry manufacturer warranties, with terms, durations and coverage varying by product and component. Details are supplied with your product and available on the relevant product page.
Manufacturer warranties are in addition to, and do not replace or reduce, your legal rights. You may always rely on your statutory rights under Section 4, whether or not the manufacturer's warranty covers the issue and whether or not it has expired.
As an official BERG Premium Dealer and Springfree stockist, we will handle warranty claims on your behalf. Contact us first rather than the manufacturer.
6. Cancelling before delivery
You may cancel at any point between placing your order and taking delivery.
7. Business, school, club and trade orders
The 14-day cancellation right is a consumer right. It does not apply where you buy wholly or mainly for business, commercial, trade, professional, educational or institutional purposes — including orders placed by schools, sports clubs, GAA clubs, childcare providers, glamping and hospitality operators, and other businesses.
For these orders:
- Returns are at our discretion and by prior written agreement
- Where we agree to accept a return, goods must be unused, unassembled and in original sealed packaging, and a handling charge may apply
- Statutory rights in respect of faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods continue to apply, as do all manufacturer warranties
- Our business terms of sale govern the contract
If you are unsure which category your order falls into, contact us before purchasing.
