Check you have a ladder

This is the thing to settle before ordering, and it catches people out.

Children reach the platform using the PlayBase ladder. Whether you have one depends on how your frame is configured:

• TL (tumble bar + ladder) — yes, you have a ladder
• LL (two ladders) — yes
• TT (two tumble bars) — no ladder

If you've a TT frame, ring us before ordering and we'll sort out how you get up to the platform.

And it doesn't fit the Wall frame at all — BERG don't rate it for wall-mounted installations.

The water connection

Attach a garden hose and the slide runs wet. It's a proper feature rather than a gimmick — a wet slide is faster, and it turns an afternoon in the garden into something children will do for hours.

It's also the reason this accessory gets used in July when the rest of the frame doesn't. Most Irish gardens get a handful of genuinely hot days a year, and this is what makes them count.

It mounts either side

The slide goes on the left or the right of the platform, so you can work around what's already on the frame and around your garden.

Worth planning: the slide needs a clear run-out at the bottom, so put it where a child arriving at speed isn't heading for a fence, a flowerbed or the shed.

150cm and 70kg

150cm platform height — high enough that the slide is worth sliding, low enough that BERG rate it from three years old. There's a safety rail on the platform.

70kg max user — lower than most PlayBase accessories, and it's the figure that decides how long this lasts. Most children reach 70kg somewhere around twelve, by which point slides have usually stopped being the draw anyway.

It comes apart for storage

The slide splits into three sections. It can stay out all year — HDPE with UV-resistant treatment — but if you want the frame back for something else, or the garden clear over winter, it stores compactly.
