Oval, above ground. The Grand Favorit on legs — 17ft × 11.5ft of mat, no excavation, and you can take it with you if you move. The shape for a garden that's longer than it is wide.
The Favorit range at a glance
Three shapes, two installations. In BERG's naming, Grand means oval and Ultim means rectangular. You're looking at the oval, above-ground model.
| Shape | Above ground | InGround |
|---|---|---|
| Round | Favorit Regular | Favorit InGround |
| Oval (Grand) | You are here | Grand Favorit InGround |
| Rectangular (Ultim) | Ultim Favorit Regular | Ultim Favorit InGround |
Specifications
| Size | 520cm × 345cm (17ft × 11.4ft) |
| Shape | Oval |
| Installation | Above ground, on legs, 90cm to the mat |
| Clear space needed | 9.2m × 7.5m |
| Assembly | 4-6 hours, three adults recommended |
| Suits | Larger families, ages 6-16, long narrow gardens |

| Safety | BERG Comfort Safety Net (oval), 20mm padding, SoloSpring. EN 71-14 certified |
| Frame warranty | 8 years, hot-dip galvanised steel |
Check both dimensions. The width catches people out — 345cm of frame plus 2m clearance each side means you need 7.5m across, not just the 9.2m run. Our size guide covers measuring properly.
Oval or round?
Not about size — it's about shape. A 14ft round and this oval have almost identical jumping area. What differs is the ground each one needs.
| Grand Favorit oval | Favorit 14ft round | |
|---|---|---|
| Frame | 520 × 345cm | 430cm diameter |
| Space needed | 9.2m × 7.5m | 8.5m × 8.5m |
| Longest run | 5.2m | 4.3m |
| Bounce | Usable along the length | Returns toward the centre |
| Sizes available | One | Five, 6.5ft to 14ft |
Take the oval if your usable garden is a long strip — a metre narrower than the round needs, and nearly a metre more length to bounce along. Take the round if your space is closer to square, the children are younger, or you want a smaller size.
Above ground or InGround?
Above ground if you want it up this weekend, you're renting or might move, or you'd rather not excavate a pit this size. Four to six hours with three adults and the children are on it the same day. You can also get underneath it to inspect and maintain.
InGround if this is a permanent home, the site is exposed, or the children are young enough that a 90cm climb matters. The pit is a serious dig at this size, so factor the groundworks in — not just the price of the trampoline.

Anchor it the same day you build it
This is the largest above-ground trampoline in the Favorit range: a 17ft frame standing 90cm off the lawn with a net on top. In Irish wind that's a sail, and weight is not what holds it down.
Fit ground anchors as soon as it's assembled, and check them after every named storm. If you'll be moving it to mow, the 4-pack with straps unclips in seconds. Our anchoring guide covers every surface.
Worth adding
Ladder
At 90cm, children will otherwise climb the padding to get on, which wears it where it protects the frame. See BERG ladders — this size takes the Ladder L.
Oval weather cover
Custom 520cm oval fit. Worth it if there are trees overhead or it's idle over winter.
BERG Levels game
LED lights and app challenges in the mat. The 5.2m run suits the running games better than a round does.
See all trampoline accessories, or the replacement parts range.
Assembly
Four to six hours, and get three people if you can — two on the frame, one managing parts and instructions. All tools are in the box and there's a QR code to a video guide.
Lay the frame sections out in the oval before you start; the long and short axes make it easier to visualise than a round. Work opposite pairs when fitting the springs so the mat stays centred, and use a spring puller tool — at this size the spring ring is the bulk of the job.
Ring us mid-assembly if you get stuck. We can also put you in touch with installers if you'd rather it was done for you.
