Trampoline Buying Guide

Buying Guide

How to Choose the Perfect Trampoline

Four simple steps to find the right trampoline for your family. Whether you're buying for grandchildren, teenagers, or the whole family — we'll help you choose with confidence.

1

Choose Your Installation Type

How do you want the trampoline to sit in your garden?

Above Ground

Stands on legs in your garden. Easiest to install — no digging required. Can be moved if needed.

Easiest Setup
ground level

InGround

Partially sunk into the ground. Sleek look that blends into your garden. Sits just above ground level.

Most Popular
flush with ground

FlatGround

Completely flush with your lawn. The premium look — almost invisible in the garden. Best bounce quality.

Premium Choice

💡 Installation Tip

  • Above Ground trampolines are self-assembly — most families have them up in 1-2 hours.
  • InGround & FlatGround models require digging a hole. We recommend professional installation — contact William Sage on 085 801 7914 for a quote. He covers all of Ireland & Northern Ireland.
2

Pick Your Shape

The shape affects the bounce, the space needed, and who it's best for.

Round

Guides jumpers to the centre — ideal for younger children and single jumpers. Most popular shape.

Best for Kids

Oval

More usable space than round. Suits narrower gardens and multiple jumpers. Controlled, balanced bounce.

Great All-Rounder

Rectangular

Largest jumping area. Even bounce across the whole surface. Ideal for gymnastics, tricks and experienced jumpers.

What Size Do You Need?

Measure your garden and allow a 2-metre safety zone around the trampoline.

200-
270cm

Small (7-9ft)

Compact gardens. Ideal for children aged 6-10. Single jumper.

330-
380cm

Medium (11-12ft)

Most popular size. Suits ages 6+ and medium gardens. Great all-rounder.

430cm

Large (14ft)

Bigger gardens. Excellent for teens and adults. Room for tricks and higher jumps.

470-
520cm

Extra Large (15-17ft)

Spacious gardens. Maximum jumping area. Best for families who want the biggest bounce.

📏 Measuring Tip

  • The sizes above are the outer diameter of the trampoline frame — the actual jumping area is smaller.
  • Always allow at least 2 metres of clear space around all sides — no fences, walls, trees or other play equipment within that zone.
  • For InGround models, the hole is slightly smaller than the frame size. Exact hole dimensions are listed on each product page.
