BERG Trampoline Ladders

A proper ladder for getting on and off an above-ground trampoline. Three sizes, matched to the height of your model — which is why the first thing to get right is which one you need.

Which ladder fits your trampoline?

The number is the frame diameter in centimetres — a Favorit 330 is the 11ft model, a 430 is the 14ft. If you're unsure, measure across the frame or ring us with the model name.

Ladder L covers most of what we sell, since the majority of BERG trampolines in Irish gardens are 330cm and up.

Why bother with a ladder?

An above-ground BERG stands 80-105cm off the ground depending on model. That's a real climb for a five-year-old, and the way children get on without a ladder is by grabbing the frame padding and hauling themselves up.

Two problems with that. It wears the padding at exactly the point that protects the frame, and it puts a child's hands and weight on the springs while they climb — which is the one part of a trampoline you'd rather they never touched.

A ladder removes both, and makes the trampoline usable for younger children without an adult lifting them on every time.

Or skip it entirely

The honest alternative: an inground trampoline sits 10-20cm above the lawn and needs no ladder at all. If you're still deciding and young children are the main users, that's worth weighing — it solves access, wind exposure and fall height in one go.

For an above-ground trampoline that's already in the garden, the ladder is the answer.

Using it safely

Take the ladder away when the trampoline isn't in use, or when you're not there to supervise. A ladder left in place is an open invitation to a four-year-old at seven in the morning.

Check the fixings at the start of each season — a ladder that's worked loose over winter is worse than none.
