BERG Spring Puller Tool
A T-handled hook for fitting and removing trampoline springs. Hook the spring, pull, drop it onto the frame eyelet. That's the whole job.
Why you want one before you start
Trampoline springs are under real tension. Fitting them by hand means hooking a stiff spring with your fingers, pulling hard enough to stretch it several centimetres, and holding that while you line it up with a small hole — usually crouched over, usually in the cold.
Two things go wrong. Your fingers take a beating, and eventually a spring slips and comes back at you. Neither is serious, both are avoidable, and the puller costs a fraction of a set of springs.
It also makes the job considerably quicker. Fitting a full set of springs by hand is an afternoon; with a puller it's a job you'd do before dinner.
When you'll use it
- Assembling a new trampoline — most of the effort in a BERG build is the spring ring
- Replacing worn or broken springs — see BERG replacement springs
- Fitting a replacement jump mat, which means removing and refitting every spring
- Taking the trampoline down for a move or for winter storage
If you own a spring trampoline you will need to do at least one of those. It's a tool worth having in the shed rather than buying in a hurry when a spring goes.
Using it
Hook the end through the spring, brace against the frame, and pull the spring out to the eyelet. Work opposite pairs rather than round the circle — that keeps the mat centred and the tension even as you go.
Fit it to a BERG or any other spring trampoline; the tool isn't brand-specific.
Worth adding
If you're pulling springs you're probably replacing something. Have a look at replacement springs, net bungees, and the full BERG replacement parts range — mats, nets and padding included.
Small tears are worth catching before they run. A repair kit costs a fraction of a new mat.
