Springfree R30 Mini Round — 6ft

Read this first: the 50kg limit
The Mini Round is rated for one jumper up to 50kg. That's the figure that decides whether this is the right trampoline for you.
Fifty kilos is roughly an average eight-year-old. So if you're buying for a three or four-year-old, this will serve them for four or five years. If you're buying for a seven-year-old, you'll be replacing it sooner than you'd like, and the R54 Compact Round is the better purchase.
We'd rather tell you that now than have you find out in two years. The frame itself is tested to 600kg — the 50kg figure is about the mat and rod tension, not the structure.
Will it fit?
Springfree specifies 12ft × 12ft — about 3.7m × 3.7m — for the Mini Round, including clearance.
That's noticeably less than a spring trampoline of similar mat size needs, because the FlexiNet gives when someone hits it rather than stopping them dead, and there's no rigid frame at the edge. It's the reason Springfree works in gardens where a conventional trampoline doesn't.
Measure the flattest clear area you have and check what's within that square — fences, walls, a shed, low branches.

Springfree rates the 30 sq ft jumping surface as comparable to a traditional 8ft spring trampoline, because a spring model loses a band around the outside to springs and padding that this doesn't have.
Why springless matters more for small children
On a conventional trampoline the springs and frame sit at the mat edge, exactly where a toddler who loses their footing ends up. Padding covers them, and padding perishes.
Springfree moves the frame below and outside the jumping area and replaces the springs with flexible composite rods underneath the mat. There's nothing hard at the edge because there's nothing there at all.

Who it's for
Right for: toddlers and young children up to about 50kg, small or awkward gardens, families who want a first trampoline that's genuinely safe for a two-year-old.
Wrong for: more than one child at a time, anyone over 50kg, or a household where the eldest is already seven or eight.

Assembly
Springfree provide free 3D step-by-step instructions through the BILT app, with voice and text guidance — considerably better than a paper manual for the rod-fitting stage, which is the fiddly part.

Common questions
Can two small children use it together?
No. The 50kg limit is for a single jumper, and one at a time is the right rule on any trampoline. If you need room for two, start at the R54.
How long will my child get out of it?
Until they're around 50kg, so typically four or five years from age three. Bought for a younger child it's excellent value; bought for a seven-year-old it isn't.
Can I leave it out all year?
Yes, it's built for year-round outdoor use. Keep leaves and standing water off the mat, and see our winter care guide if you'd rather pack it away.
What's the model code for parts?
R30. Worth noting somewhere — Springfree parts are model-specific and it's the first thing we'll ask for.
