Rectangular, above ground. The Ultim Favorit on legs, supplied with the BERG Comfort Safety Net. A rectangular frame fits a long narrow garden where a round one won't, and above ground means no excavation and you can take it with you.

Note: BERG's published weight table lists the 280 × 190cm at 70kg and the 410 × 250cm at 120kg. Confirm the 330 × 220cm figure with us before ordering.
How to measure: you need 2 metres of clear space on every side, so add 4 metres to each dimension of the frame. Check both directions — with a rectangle it's almost always the width that runs out first. Full detail in our trampoline size guide, or send us your measurements and we'll confirm.
Why rectangular?
Shape. A lot of Irish gardens are strips — a row house with a long narrow plot, or a side garden along a boundary. A rectangular mat uses that ground where a circle wastes the corners.
Bounce. On a round frame the springs pull inward from every direction, so the bounce keeps returning you to the middle. On a rectangle they run closer to parallel and the energy stays where you land — more usable mat, more control, and more height for the same effort. It's why competition trampolines are rectangular.
The trade-off: more power means less margin. For children under about six, the forgiving bounce of a round Favorit is the better buy, and it comes in five sizes rather than three.
Above ground or inground?
Above ground if you want it up this weekend, you're renting or might move, or you'd rather not excavate. It comes apart and goes back together, and you can get underneath it to maintain it.
InGround if this is a permanent home or the site is exposed. That's the bigger consideration with a rectangle than with a round — see below.
Anchor it the same day you build it
A rectangular frame presents more surface to the wind than a round one of similar footprint, and above ground it stands about 90cm off the lawn with a net on top. In Irish weather that's a sail, and weight is not what holds it down.

Assembly
Allow three to four hours with two adults, longer on the 13 × 8ft. All tools are in the box and there's a QR code to a video guide.
A rectangle needs the tension balanced across four sides rather than around a circle, so work opposite corners rather than along one edge. A spring puller tool turns the longest part of the job into the quickest. Ring us mid-assembly if you get stuck.
