Springfree Trampoline Weather Cover

An all-weather cover that sits over the mat to protect it when the trampoline isn't being used. Built for long absences, exposed sites and winter storage.

Do you actually need one?

Honest answer: most Irish families don't. A Springfree is built for year-round outdoor use — the mat is UV-stabilised, the frame is galvanised, and the rods are made for weather. Plenty of people leave theirs out for a decade without a cover and have no trouble.

A cover earns its place if:

• You're away for months — a holiday home, a long trip, or a property you're not at over winter
• There are trees overhead — leaf fall is the real enemy. Wet leaves sitting on a mat for weeks stain it and hold damp against the stitching
• The site is exposed — coastal salt air and constant wind-driven rain age a mat faster than sheltered weather
• Nobody will use it from November to March — if it's genuinely idle for five months, covering it buys you years at the far end
• You want maximum life out of it — the mat and net are the wear items, and UV is what wears them

You can probably skip it if the trampoline is in the open, gets used year-round, and you're happy to brush it off occasionally. A cover that stays in the shed does nothing.

Fitting it

About fifteen minutes, and no tools:

1. Drop the net
2. Lay the net rods in the centre of the mat
3. Place the cover over the mat

Compatible with all G3 and G4 Springfree trampolines. If you don't know which generation you have, the serial number tells you — G3 serials start with four digits or "G3", G4 with "G4", "S1" or "S2". Our Springfree parts guide covers how to find it.

Through the winter

Clear snow off the top of the cover with a soft-bristled brush or broom rather than letting it build up. Snow is heavier than it looks and there's no reason to load the mat with it.

Check underneath every few weeks. A cover that's trapping water rather than shedding it is worse than no cover, and that's usually a sign it's sitting too flat — the net rods in the centre are there to give it a peak.
