The Elite range at a glance

In BERG's naming, Grand means oval and Ultim means rectangular.

Where Elite sits in the BERG range

Elite is the top of BERG's residential range. The warranty table shows where the money goes:

Padding is the component that takes the weather. Elite's is the same thickness as Champion's — 30mm over the frame, 20mm over the springs, 38cm wide in 0.55mm PVC — with enhanced UV treatment and two and a half times the warranty cover. That's BERG's own judgement on how much longer it lasts.

Safety net

At 500 × 300cm this is the largest of BERG's rectangular FlatGround models, and a safety net is available for it.

Worth having if children will use it. Flush installation removes the fall height — leaving the mat means stepping onto grass. But a net does a second job it can't: keeping jumpers on the mat in the first place. On a rectangular trampoline, which produces more height than a round, that's worth having.

One size: 16 × 10ft

The Ultim Elite comes in a single size — 500 × 300cm, the largest rectangular trampoline BERG makes for a home garden.

The hole matches the frame exactly — unlike an InGround installation, where you dig inside the trampoline's footprint. And it's a metre deep, which means around 10 cubic metres of soil to remove.

Two metres of clear space on all four sides, so you need 9m of length and 7m of width. The width is what catches people out. If that's more than you have, the Ultim Champion FlatGround comes in three sizes from 330 × 220cm.

Measure carefully. A flush trampoline can't be moved once the pit is dug.

Why rectangular, and why flush

Rectangular because the springs run in parallel rather than pulling inward from every direction, so the energy stays where you land. More height for the same effort, more control, and the whole mat usable rather than just the centre. It also fits a long narrow garden where a circle wastes the corners.

Flush because a 5-metre rectangular frame on legs is a substantial object in any garden. Recessed entirely below the lawn it disappears, the fall height is effectively zero, and there's no profile at all for the wind — the most stable installation BERG makes, and it needs no anchoring.

The trade-off on both: rectangular produces more power and less margin for error, so it isn't the right first trampoline for a young child. And flush is permanent, needs a level site, and a metre-deep pit the full width of the frame.

Elite specification

TwinSpring springs

A V-shaped double spring arrangement rather than single springs, spreading load around the frame. Smoother bounce, more usable mat, and a longer service life. Covered for 5 years and individually replaceable.

AirFlow Pro jump mat

Perforated, so displaced air escapes as you land rather than fighting you. It also dries faster after rain and lets wind pass through rather than pushing against it. UV-stabilised with reinforced stitching.

Padding — 5-year warranty

30mm over the frame, 20mm over the springs, 38cm wide, in 0.55mm PVC with enhanced UV treatment. Same 30mm thickness and 38cm width as Champion, and the same AirFlow Pro mat and TwinSpring springs. What Elite adds is a heavier frame and a 5-year padding warranty against Champion's 2.

Galvanised steel frame

Large-diameter, thick-walled tubing, hot-dip galvanised with a black powder coat over it. Two layers of protection, and the basis of the 13-year rust warranty.

We don't carry out installations ourselves, but we work with experienced installers across Ireland who do this regularly. Tell us your county when you order and we'll put you in touch with someone local who can look at the site and quote you.

Ground conditions vary a lot across Ireland, so it's worth having someone assess your site rather than working from a general guide.

Maintenance

• Weekly: clear debris, and check for standing water
• Monthly: spring tension with attention to the corners, padding condition, drainage clear
• Seasonally: clean the mat, check the frame is still square
• Annually: full bolt check, frame and mat stitching inspection
• Winter: clear snow, keep the drainage running through freeze-thaw

Expect 15 years or more in Irish conditions. Mats, springs and padding are all replaceable.

Common questions

Is a safety net available?

Yes, on this size. Ring us to confirm the option before you order.

Do I need to anchor it?

No. The pit holds the frame and there's no profile for wind to catch.

Can I install it on a slope?

Not realistically. A flush trampoline needs a level surface.

Can I move it later?

No. New pit, new drainage, full disassembly. Treat it as permanent.

Is there an InGround version?

Not in the Elite rectangular range. The Ultim Champion InGround gives you rectangular and inground a tier down, with a shallower pit and a narrower hole.

Can adults use it?

Yes — 120kg per person. One at a time.

How does Elite compare to Champion?

Same 13-year frame warranty, 5-year springs, AirFlow Pro mat and 30mm padding. Elite uses heavier frame tubing and carries a 5-year padding warranty against Champion's 2.
