Where Elite sits in the BERG range

Padding is the component that takes the weather. Elite's is the same thickness as Champion's — 30mm over the frame, 20mm over the springs, 38cm wide in 0.55mm PVC — with enhanced UV treatment and two and a half times the warranty cover. That's BERG's own judgement on how much longer it lasts.

Sizes and the space they need

Two metres of clear space on all sides, so the ground you need is the diameter plus 4 metres.

The hole matches the frame diameter exactly — unlike an InGround installation, where you dig inside the trampoline's footprint. And it's a metre deep. The 14ft means removing around 9 cubic metres of soil.

Measure carefully. A flush trampoline can't be moved once the pit is dug. Send us your dimensions and we'll confirm which fits.

Why flush

• It disappears. No visible frame from ground level. In a landscaped garden that's the whole argument.
• Zero fall height. Stepping off the mat is stepping onto the lawn.
• Nothing to trip over. Everything is below the surface.
• Walk-on from any side. No ladder, no climbing.
• Nothing for the wind. A flush trampoline presents no profile at all — the most stable installation BERG makes, and it needs no anchoring.

Against InGround, which sits 10-20cm above the lawn: FlatGround needs a deeper pit the full width of the frame, and a level site. InGround is more forgiving. Against above ground, both are permanent.

Elite specification

TwinSpring springs

A V-shaped double spring arrangement rather than single springs, spreading load around the frame. Smoother bounce, more usable mat, and a longer service life. Covered for 5 years and individually replaceable.

AirFlow Pro jump mat

Perforated, so displaced air escapes as you land rather than fighting you. It also dries faster after rain and lets wind pass through rather than pushing against it. UV-stabilised with reinforced stitching.

Padding — 5-year warranty

30mm over the frame, 20mm over the springs, 38cm wide, in 0.55mm PVC with enhanced UV treatment. Same 30mm thickness and 38cm width as Champion, and the same AirFlow Pro mat and TwinSpring springs. What Elite adds is a heavier frame and a 5-year padding warranty against Champion's 2.

Galvanised steel frame

Large-diameter, thick-walled tubing, hot-dip galvanised with a black powder coat over it. Two layers of protection, and the basis of the 13-year rust warranty.

Safety net

Safety net availability on FlatGround models varies by size and configuration. Tell us which size you're considering and we'll confirm what's available before you order — it's the one thing worth settling first if children will be using it.

Where a net isn't fitted, bear in mind what that means: fall height is effectively zero, so leaving the mat is stepping onto grass. But a net also keeps jumpers on the mat in the first place, and that's the job a flush installation doesn't do for you.

Installation

The hole dimensions for each size are in the table above.

We don't carry out installations ourselves, but we work with experienced installers across Ireland who do this regularly. Tell us your county when you order and we'll put you in touch with someone local who can look at the site and quote you.

Ground conditions vary a lot across Ireland, so it's worth having someone assess your site rather than working from a general guide.

Maintenance

• Weekly: clear debris, and check for standing water
• Monthly: spring tension, padding condition, drainage clear
• Annually: tighten all bolts, inspect the frame, check the mat stitching
• Winter: clear snow, keep the drainage running through freeze-thaw

Expect 15 years or more in Irish conditions. Mats, springs and padding are all replaceable.

Common questions

Do I need planning permission?

Generally no — a trampoline isn't a permanent structure in planning terms, and a flush one is the least visible option there is. Check with your council if you're in a protected area.

Can I install it on a slope?

Not realistically. A flush trampoline needs a level surface.

Can I move it later?

No. Treat it as permanent and choose the position carefully.

Do I need to anchor it?

No. The pit holds the frame and there's no profile for wind to catch.

Can adults use it?

Yes — 100kg on the 11ft, 110kg on the 12.5ft, 120kg on the 14ft. One at a time.

FlatGround or InGround?

FlatGround for the cleanest finish on a level, well-drained site. InGround for a shallower pit, a narrower hole, and more forgiveness on ground that isn't perfectly level.
