Trampoline Anchors & Tie-Downs with Straps — 4 Pack

Four corkscrew ground anchors with adjustable webbing straps. Twist the anchors into the ground, run the straps over the frame, tighten the buckles. Suits any trampoline, any brand.

Specification

  • 4 galvanised steel corkscrew anchors, 12mm thick — considerably stronger than thin wire twisted into a spiral
  • 4 webbing straps in water-resistant PP with a 150kg breaking strain
  • Buckle tensioners, so you can pull them properly tight and adjust later
  • Fits all trampoline brands and models, and works for other garden play equipment

Which anchor kit do you need?

We sell two, and they fix differently:

This kit — 4 anchors with straps 8-pack ground stakes
How it fixes Strap over the frame, anchor twisted into the ground Arched stake driven over the frame tube
Fixing points 4 8
Adjustable? Yes — buckles let you re-tension No
Easy to remove? Yes, straps unclip in seconds Stakes need pulling
Best for Trampolines you move for mowing, softer ground, other play equipment Permanent siting, more fixing points

The strap kit is the one to choose if you shift the trampoline to cut the grass — unclip four buckles and it's free, then strap it back down in a couple of minutes. The stake kit gives more fixing points but is more of a job to remove.

On an exposed or coastal site, or with a large trampoline, plenty of people use both.

Why anchoring isn't optional in Ireland

A trampoline is a large, light structure with a net on top — effectively a sail. Irish winds routinely reach the point where an unanchored one lifts, and every winter brings the same reports: through a fence, onto a car, two gardens over.

People assume a big trampoline is too heavy to move. It isn't. Weight is not what keeps a trampoline down in a gale.

Anchoring also stops the day-to-day shifting that works bolts loose, so the frame stays square and lasts longer.

Fitting them

Twist each anchor into the ground near a leg, run the strap over the frame, and tighten the buckle until there's no slack. About twenty minutes for the set.

Then check them after every named storm. Ground softens over a wet Irish winter, and an anchor that was solid in September can be loose by February. Re-tension any strap that's slackened and re-seat anything that's lifted.

On a patio, gravel or concrete, ground anchors won't hold at all — our guide to anchoring on all surfaces covers what to use instead.

Not just for trampolines

The same kit works for garden play equipment generally — climbing frames, swing sets, playhouses. Anything light enough to move in wind and awkward enough that you'd rather it didn't.
