A note on BERG sizes
BERG round trampolines don't come in an exact 10ft. The sizes go from 270cm (9ft) to 330cm (11ft). Most families looking for a "10ft" end up with the 11ft, because the extra room makes a real difference as children get older. If your space is tight, the 9ft is the one to choose. The size guide below shows which fits your garden.
How much space does a 10ft trampoline need?
Allow 2 metres of clear space on every side, away from fences, walls, trees, sheds and patios:

The picks in more detail
1. Springfree R79 10ft Round: the safety-first choice
Springfree has no springs. Flexible rods sit under the edge of the mat, out of the jumping area, so there are no springs to land on and no hard frame edge to fall onto. Those are the two things children most often get hurt on. The net is held up by flexible rods as well, so it gives rather than stopping a child dead.
The R79 is the most popular Springfree size for families, and it's the one to choose if safety comes first. We're Ireland's only Springfree stockist.
2. BERG Favorit: best value
The Favorit is BERG's entry range, and it's the trampoline most Irish families start with. You get a galvanised steel frame, a safety net, padding over the springs, and genuine BERG spare parts that we hold here in Ireland, so a worn mat or net in five years is a replacement part, not a new trampoline. Around 10ft, choose the 9ft or the 11ft to suit your garden.
3. BERG Champion 11ft: the best all-rounder
The Champion is the range most of our customers end up choosing. It's a real step up from the Favorit: TwinSpring springs and the AirFlow mat give a deeper, more comfortable bounce, and the Deluxe net has an overlapping entrance instead of a zip that can corrode. If your children are going to use it for years, this is the one we'd recommend.
4. BERG Champion InGround 11ft: low and tidy
The same Champion, sunk into the lawn so the mat sits just above the grass. Children step on and off without a ladder, a fall means a shorter drop, and it catches far less wind, which is why inground is the usual choice for exposed and coastal gardens. It's permanent and needs a pit dug, so ask us to put you in touch with an installer if you'd like it fitted.

5. Springfree O77 Oval (8 x 11ft): for narrower gardens
If your garden is long rather than square, an oval uses the space better. The O77 is 8ft wide and 11ft long, which gives more jumping length than a 10ft round without needing the width. It has the same springless design as the R79.
Choosing the right one
Springs or springless?
A good sprung trampoline like BERG is safe with proper padding and a net, and it costs less. Springfree takes springs and hard edges out of the jumping area altogether. Families who put safety above everything else choose it.
Above ground or inground?
Above ground is quicker to set up and can be moved if you move house. Inground sits low, looks tidier, handles wind better and makes getting on and off easier, but it's permanent and needs digging. Our inground and flatground guide explains the differences.
Round or oval?
Round is the most common shape. The bounce draws jumpers back towards the centre, which is forgiving for younger children. Oval gives you more length without more width, which suits narrow gardens. Our shape guide goes into more detail.

Check the user weight
Every trampoline has a maximum user weight, listed on the product page. Check it against who'll be using the trampoline in a few years, not just today, especially if teenagers or adults will use it.
Frequently asked questions
Is a 10ft trampoline big enough?
For most families with primary-school children, yes. If you have teenagers, or children who'll really use it, an 11ft or larger gives noticeably more room.
What age is a 10ft trampoline suitable for?
Roughly 6 to 14, depending on the child and the model. Always check the manufacturer's minimum age and maximum user weight.
How many can use it at once?
One at a time. Most trampoline injuries happen when several people are on the mat together, especially when a heavier jumper bounces a lighter one.
Is inground safer than above ground?
An inground trampoline means a shorter fall if someone comes off, and no ladder to climb. A net is still recommended on both types.
Why buy from a specialist rather than a supermarket?
