What we stock

Anchor kits — not optional in an Irish garden. Any trampoline standing on legs needs anchoring, and we'd far rather sell you a kit than hear about a trampoline in a neighbour's hedge after a January gale. Storm damage to an unanchored trampoline isn't covered by the warranty either.

Ladders — for above-ground frames, where there's a climb to get on. Without one, children tend to haul themselves up by the frame padding, which wears it at the point that protects the frame.

Basketball hoops — the accessory that adds years to a trampoline's useful life, because it gives an eleven-year-old a reason to go back out to it.

Weather covers — for over-winter protection, keeping leaves and standing water off the mat.

Moving wheels — clip onto an above-ground frame so one person can shift it to cut the grass underneath, rather than two people dragging it.

Also worth knowing about: a spring puller tool, which turns the longest part of any assembly or repair into the quickest, and a repair kit for catching small tears in a mat or net before they run.

Which accessories suit your trampoline?

It depends on how yours is installed, and nobody tells you this at the point of sale.

Above ground. The full list applies. An anchor kit is the one we'd call essential — an unanchored trampoline is the single most common storm casualty we hear about. Moving wheels and a ladder are the two that make daily life easier.

Inground. No ladder needed, and no anchor kit — it's already in the ground, which is one of the quiet advantages of digging it in. A cover is still worth having over winter, and a basketball hoop fits an inground frame the same as any other.

Flatground. Same as inground: skip the ladder, skip the anchors, skip the moving wheels. Covers and hoops are the two that apply.

So if you've an inground or flatground model, you need less than you think — which is not the sort of thing a shop usually goes out of its way to tell you.

Anchoring on a hard surface

If your trampoline stands on a patio, gravel or concrete, ground stakes won't hold. The 4-pack anchor kit with straps is the one for that — corkscrew anchors into soil beyond the paving, with webbing over the frame. Our anchoring guide covers every surface.
