Trampoline Repair Kit For Padding, Safety Nets & Mats

A complete repair kit for trampoline jump mats, safety nets and frame padding. Fix a small tear early and you get years more out of a mat that would otherwise need replacing — a repair kit costs a fraction of a replacement mat, and the repair takes twenty minutes of actual work.

Suitable for BERG, Springfree and most other trampoline brands. The flexible adhesive stays elastic once cured, so the repair flexes with the mat instead of cracking the first time someone bounces on it.

What it fixes

• Jump mats — small tears, puncture holes, and splits starting at the stitching
• Safety nets — holes and pulled seams
• Frame padding — splits in the outer cover before the foam gets wet

It won't rescue a mat that's perished across a wide area or torn along more than about 10cm. If the damage is beyond that, you're better off with a replacement mat — ring us with your model and size and we'll tell you honestly which you need.

Why repair rather than replace

Trampoline mats fail from the edges and from small punctures that spread. Catch one early and the mat's life is effectively unchanged. Leave it a season and the tear runs, at which point the whole mat goes.

Keeping a kit in the shed is the cheapest trampoline maintenance there is. Most people buy one after the tear appears; the ones who buy in advance tend to be on their second trampoline.

How to repair a tear in a trampoline mat

You'll need

• The flexible repair adhesive, tape, spreader and gloves from this kit
• A clean cloth or paper towel
• A flat, sturdy surface — a plastic sheet or a piece of cardboard works

Step 1: Prepare the damaged area

1. Wipe the torn section with a clean cloth to remove dirt, dust and debris.
2. Make sure the surface is completely dry before any adhesive goes near it.
3. Lay the mat on a flat, stable surface.
4. Stick the self-adhesive tape to the underside of the hole to support the repair.

Step 2: Apply the adhesive

1. Put the gloves on.
2. Squeeze the adhesive directly onto the damage, covering the hole plus 5-8mm all around it.

Step 3: Spread it evenly

1. Use the spreader to distribute the adhesive smoothly across the hole and slightly beyond.
2. Press gently to work out air bubbles so the bond is continuous around the tear.

Step 4: Let it cure

1. Leave it undisturbed for at least 12 hours at 15-20°C.
2. For a fully flexible, long-lasting repair, give it 24 hours before anyone uses the trampoline.

Step 5: Check and reinforce

1. Once cured, press and stretch the patched area gently to test it.
2. Peel the backing tape off the underside.
3. If you want extra strength, add a thin second layer of adhesive over the repair.

Tips for a stronger repair

• Cold weather means longer curing. Don't attempt a repair in freezing conditions — wait for a mild dry spell.
• Humidity actually speeds curing and strengthens the bond, which is handy in an Irish summer.
• Store an opened tube in the freezer to make it last.
• Check your mat at the start and end of each season and fix small tears immediately. Every big tear started as a small one.
