DIY SOS Waterford: Proudly Supported by Trampolines Ireland

We are delighted to have been involved with and contributed to the Waterford episode of DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland.

What is DIY SOS?

DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland is a heartwarming RTÉ television series presented by Baz Ashmawy. The show's mission is simple but powerful: to rebuild people's lives by rebuilding their homes.

Each episode focuses on a deserving family facing extraordinary challenges. The DIY SOS team, made up of professional builders, designers, and hundreds of volunteers, descends on the family's home and completes a full renovation in just nine days. It's an incredible feat that relies entirely on the generosity of volunteers, suppliers, and businesses who donate their time, skills, and materials.

The show brings out the very best in people. Every build demonstrates the remarkable goodwill and community spirit that exists across Ireland when neighbours come together to help those in need.

The Waterford Episode

The Waterford episode told the story of Laura Sheridan, a nurse and devoted mum of three from Comeragh Park. Laura, a former Nurse of the Year, worked tirelessly on the frontline during the Covid pandemic before being diagnosed with stage 3 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. On top of this, Laura's twin boys have autism and require constant supervision and care.

Baz and the team transformed Laura's home, giving her family a safe, comfortable, and happy space during an incredibly difficult time.

We're Proud to Play Our Part

At Trampolines Ireland, we believe in supporting our communities however we can. Being part of DIY SOS was a privilege, and we're honoured to have contributed alongside so many wonderful volunteers and suppliers.

Seeing the difference this programme makes to families like Laura's reminds us why giving back matters.
