Bounce for Autism Comes to Danu Special School

We're extremely pleased to announce that The Irish Society for Autism have donated a new trampoline to Danu Special School as part of the Bounce for Autism program.

As Principal, Pat Doolan shares -

We are Danu Community Special School, Blanchardstown.

We are an autism specific special school that caters for 36 students from the ages of 5 to 18.  We have 6 classes.  We opened in temporary accommodation in September 2019 in Hansfield ETSS.  We moved then to our new current accommodation in April 2022.  We have been granted by the Department of Education a brand new stand-alone 20 classroom special school for the Dublin 15 area which is so exciting on this campus.

Our students use our trampolines daily from 9am to 2.30pm as part of their movement breaks and sensory processing.  They enjoy using these and they are a vital necessity as a resource in our school.

We regularly purchase new trampolines due to the usage of these and as our students need these resources.
