The BERG PlayTower is built for families with young children — the age where a garden stops being a lawn and starts being a world. Climbing, sliding, digging, disappearing up top for twenty minutes and coming back down as a pirate. It's the kind of play that quietly builds coordination, confidence and imagination, and because it's a proper steel frame rather than a toy, it grows with them instead of being outgrown in a season.

Every PlayTower comes with a raised platform, slide, ladder and integrated sandpit. From there you choose the deck style and whether you want the swing frame.

Choosing your PlayTower

The swing frame roughly doubles the width you need to set aside, so it's worth measuring the garden before you decide. Everything else — the tower, slide, ladder, sandpit, frame construction and warranty — is identical across the range.

All-in-one, not a bolt-together compromise

Tower, slide, ladder, sandpit and (on the swing set models) the swing frame arrive as one designed system. Everything lines up, everything matches, and there's no hunting for a swing frame that half-fits a year later.

Built like BERG build trampolines

The frame uses round 90mm powder-coated steel tubing — weather-resistant, low-maintenance and engineered for years of hard use. Irish weather is the real test, and this is a frame designed for it, not a softwood set that needs re-treating every second spring. The swing frame has been separately tested for maximum stability and durability.

A play set that doesn't wreck your garden's look

Black steel with plastic and bamboo detailing. Colour-matched accessories. It reads as garden architecture rather than primary-coloured plastic — which matters when the play area is visible from the kitchen window for the next decade.

Stable without a single bag of concrete

The wide base does the work. You anchor the PlayTower into the ground without concrete — a shovel and a spirit level is genuinely the tool list. Please note that one step in the assembly requires four people, so line up help before you start.

Warranty

BERG give a standard 10-year warranty on the PlayTower frame. Register the product free online after purchase and that extends to 13 years.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the models? The tower, slide, ladder, sandpit, frame and warranty are the same throughout. What changes is the deck style — Air, Cabin or Lodge — and whether the swing frame is included.

Do I need concrete to install the BERG PlayTower? No. The wide base gives the stability, so it's a dig-in installation. You need a shovel and a spirit level, and the frame goes 50 cm into the ground.

How much space do I need? Allow roughly 165 × 280 cm for a tower on its own, or 435 × 280 cm if you're choosing a Swing Set model.

Is sand included with the sandpit? No. The sandpit and its cover are included, but you'll need to buy sand separately — roughly 200 kg fills it properly.

Are swings included with the Swing Set models? The swing frame and four carabiner hooks are included, but the swing accessories themselves are ordered separately. The frame takes two accessories.

Can I add the swing frame later? The swing frame comes as part of the Swing Set models rather than as a retro-fit accessory, so it's worth deciding at the point of purchase. Get in touch if you're unsure which model suits your garden.

What's the warranty? 10 years on the frame as standard, extending to 13 years when you register the product free of charge with BERG after purchase.
