Fitness Trampolines & Rebounders Ireland

Low-impact indoor cardio that works in an Irish winter. A rebounder is a small trampoline for exercise rather than play — it sits in a spare room, it's quiet enough not to annoy anyone, and it doesn't care that it's raining sideways outside.

We stock the BERG Fitness Trampoline 110, the rebounder from BERG's own range, with free delivery on orders over €300.

BERG Fitness Trampoline 110

Diameter 110cm
Floor space needed About 120cm × 120cm
Ceiling height 2.5m recommended
Max user weight 120kg
Suspension Bungee cords, not metal springs
Storage Folds away

Also available with a handle bar, which is worth having if you're new to it, over fifty, or less confident on your feet.

Why bungee rather than springs

This is the difference between a rebounder you use and one that ends up behind the sofa.

It's quiet. Metal springs squeak, and the squeak gets worse with age. Bungee cords are close to silent, which matters in an apartment, in a house with someone working from home, or at seven in the morning.

The bounce is softer. Bungee suspension gives a deeper, more forgiving landing than a coil spring, which is the whole point of choosing a rebounder over running.

It's stable. A wider base and a properly tensioned mat, so it doesn't shift across the floor while you're on it.

The cheap mini-trampolines you see for €40 use coil springs. They're noisy, the bounce is harsh, and most of them don't last a year of regular use.

What a rebounder is good for

Low-impact cardio. The mat absorbs most of the landing force, so it's easier on knees, hips and ankles than running on a road. That's the main reason people choose one.

Exercising indoors. Irish weather takes a lot of outdoor workouts off the table between October and March. A rebounder doesn't have that problem.

Balance and coordination. An unstable surface makes you engage your core and your stabilising muscles constantly, without thinking about it.

Short sessions that actually happen. Ten minutes on something in the spare room is a workout you'll do. A forty-minute round trip to a gym often isn't.

Cross-training. Runners, cyclists and GAA players use rebounders on recovery days for cardio without the pounding.

If you're using it to recover from an injury or you have a specific health condition, talk to your physio or GP about whether it suits you — that's a conversation for someone who knows your situation, not a product page.

Who it suits

  • Working from home — ten minutes between calls, no commute, no gym bag
  • Anyone with joint concerns — a softer landing than road running
  • Over-50s — low-impact, and the handle bar version adds confidence
  • Small homes — 120cm square and it folds away
  • Apartments — the bungee system is the quiet one
  • Athletes — cardio on recovery days

What size?

Rebounders run from around 92cm to 127cm across.

Around 100-112cm is the sensible range for most adults — enough room to move without dominating a bedroom. The BERG 110 sits in the middle of that.

Smaller than 100cm is compact but restricts you to gentle bouncing.

Larger than 120cm suits serious training but wants a dedicated space.

Check your ceiling as well as your floor. You want about 2.5m of height so you're not ducking, and that rules out some converted attics.

Getting started

Start gentler and shorter than you think. The bounce feels easy and it's very easy to overdo the first session.

Beginner, 10 minutes: gentle bouncing with your feet staying on the mat, then a light jog, heel lifts, gentle twists, then slow down.

Building up, 20 minutes: warm up, then intervals of jogging and high knees with recovery between, finishing with a cool-down.

Confident, 30 minutes: interval work with jumping jacks and twists, and core exercises done sitting or kneeling on the mat.

Bare feet or non-slip socks, not trainers. Consistency matters more than duration — ten minutes most days beats forty minutes once a week.

Common questions

Is it quiet enough for an apartment?

The bungee system is, yes. Spring-based mini-trampolines aren't. If noise is your main concern, that's the feature to check before anything else.

Do I need the handle bar?

Worth having if you're new to rebounding, over fifty, or less steady on your feet. Plenty of people don't need it, and it can be added later.

How much space do I need?

About 120cm × 120cm of floor, and 2.5m of ceiling height so you're not ducking. It folds for storage between sessions.

Is it suitable for seniors?

Low-impact exercise generally suits older adults well, and the handle bar model adds stability. If you've any health concerns, check with your GP first — that's a conversation worth having before starting any new exercise.

Will a €40 mini-trampoline do?

It'll bounce. It'll also squeak, feel harsh underfoot, and most don't survive a year of regular use. The reason to pay more is bungee suspension and a stable frame — which is the difference between something you use daily and something you stop using.

Can I use it outdoors?

It's built for indoor use. For a garden trampoline, see our full trampoline range.

How long should I do each day?

Ten to fifteen minutes is plenty to start. Build up as it gets easier. Consistency beats duration.
