How to Fix Common Defects - BERG Trampolines

Common issues → fixes (and warranty notes)

Issue / symptom What’s going on Quick fix / cure Warranty notes
Safety net tears / sags / zip won’t close Nets age (UV), snag or storm stress; Comfort net can be mis-threaded at the pole top Re-thread the top elastic correctly (Comfort) to restore height; replace torn net or failed zipper; inspect/replace pole foam & caps Nets/accessories don’t get extended frame warranty; typical functionality cover ~1–2 yrs (region-dependent). Weather/UV wear usually excluded
Fibreglass hoop (Deluxe net) snapped / pole bent Impact or wind load; occasional part fatigue Replace the fibreglass rod and/or the affected upper/lower pole section; add/upgrade anchor kit; drop the net in storms Storm/wind damage is commonly excluded; material faults may qualify.
Jump mat fraying / stitching pulling / D-rings (D-hooks) loosening End-of-life mat or local overload Stop use; replace mat (match size + spring count + TwinSpring vs Solo). D-ring pull-out accelerates further damage Manufacturing defects may be covered; wear/sunlight damage generally excluded.
Springs stretched / broken / squeaky Normal fatigue; corrosion; dry spring hooks Replace broken or badly stretched springs (match type: Goldspring Solo vs TwinSpring). For squeaks: tighten joints and lubricate spring hooks/clevis points Manufacturing defects covered; rust/wear often excluded.
Padding (edge) flattening / cracking / UV fade Foam & PVC age outdoors Replace pads (match model/size). Store pads and net off the frame in winter when possible Sunlight/weather wear commonly excluded from warranty.
Frame surface rust / corrosion at joints Coastal exposure, chipped coating, water traps Clean, treat & repaint small spots; check inside legs. Replace affected frame sections if structural Coverage varies by region; some retailers list rust-through covered (cosmetic rust not), but BERG PDFs list rust excluded. Check your local policy.
FlatGround / InGround: soft bounce, water pooling, pit settling Poor pit sizing/drainage or edge support Re-level shelf, add drainage (soakaway/pipe), stabilize walls (blocks/shuttering). Keep pit clear of debris Installation issues aren’t product defects; not a warranty matter.
Missing parts / DOA Packing or carrier miss Keep all packaging; contact support within 2 weeks with serial no. & proof of purchase; or contact the dealer you bought from BERG DOA guidance + dealer route for purchases via retailers.

How to get parts (Ireland & official)

  • Irish stockists for genuine parts: Trampolines Ireland (full BERG parts library & model ID help).
  • Tip: If you’re unsure which mat/net/pads you have, send a photo + diameter/size & spring count and (ideally) the batch/serial numbers—dealers can match parts quickly.

Warranty essentials (what’s covered vs not)

  • Register within 1 month for the extended frame warranty (varies by line); registration applies to frames, not nets/pads.

  • Make DOA claims within 2 weeks; include proof of purchase + serial number. If you bought from a dealer, contact the dealer first.

  • Common exclusions: wear & tear, sunlight/weather damage, storm damage, and rust (per BERG warranty PDFs). Always check your local terms.

Fast fixes you can do today

  • Wind plan: Fit an anchor kit and drop the net ahead of storms to prevent bent poles/torn nets.

  • Stop squeaks: Tighten all joints; add a light lubricant to spring hooks (avoid the mat); replace any deformed springs.

  • Keep nets/pads healthier: Remove or cover in winter; re-thread Comfort net tops correctly to avoid sag.

  • Flat/InGround care: Ensure the pit supports the frame shelf.
